Vanilla Bean Lip Flavoring

The vanilla bean flavoring we use is an oil-soluble aromatic flavoring suitable for lip care and bath-and-body products. Unlike culinary vanilla extract, it contains no water or alcohol that could separate from our oil-based formulations.

This is a flavoring oil—not vanilla essential oil or pure vanilla extract.

The Science

Oil-soluble flavoring oils contain concentrated aromatic compounds designed to disperse evenly throughout oils, butters, and waxes.

In our products, vanilla bean flavoring helps:

  • Provide a recognizable warm, creamy vanilla aroma

  • Add gentle vanilla flavor to lip balms

  • Disperse evenly throughout oil-based formulations

  • Complement the natural aromas of tallow, butters, botanical oils, and beeswax

Why We Use It

We use a carefully measured amount of vanilla bean flavoring to give selected products a noticeable and consistent vanilla character. Its oil-soluble formulation allows it to blend smoothly into both our lip balms and nourishing sugar scrubs.

On the Skin & Lips

Vanilla bean flavoring does not moisturize or condition the skin or lips by itself. Its role is to provide the warm vanilla aroma—and, in lip balms, gentle vanilla flavor.

The nourishing and conditioning qualities of each finished product come from its blend of tallow, butters, botanical oils, vitamin E, and beeswax. In our sugar scrubs, organic cane sugar provides gentle physical exfoliation while the oils leave the skin feeling soft and smooth.
