Our Story

Badger Creek Apothecary began long before it had a name.

I’m a mom of four, and much of my life has been spent doing what moms do—caring for a family, building a home, and figuring things out along the way. Life hasn’t always gone according to plan, and after losing my husband, home and family took on an even deeper meaning.

In the years that followed, I found myself drawn more and more to the quiet, grounding things. Working with my hands. Caring for the animals. Growing a garden. Learning about the plants and herbs around us. Making things instead of always buying them. There was something good about creating a simpler life and finding beauty in ordinary days.

Badger Creek Apothecary grew from that life. It wasn’t born from a business plan.

It started with making simple things at home using ingredients I understood and trusted. I became interested in tallow, beeswax, nourishing oils, herbs, and botanicals—and in learning what each ingredient actually brought to a formula. I didn't want long ingredient lists or things added simply because they sounded impressive. If I was going to put something into a product, I wanted there to be a reason for it.

One product became another. I kept learning, experimenting, growing herbs, refining recipes, and making things that were useful for our family, our animals, and everyday life here on the farm.

Eventually, something that started quietly at home became Badger Creek Apothecary.

The farm is still at the heart of what I do. Some herbs and botanicals may come from right here at Badger Creek, while other ingredients are thoughtfully sourced because quality matters more to me than simply being able to say it was grown here. Everything is handcrafted in small batches with the same philosophy that has guided me from the beginning:

Use the fewest ingredients necessary, and make each one count.

Badger Creek Apothecary isn’t about complicated routines or filling your shelves with things you don’t need. It’s about creating simple, purposeful products for everyday care—and making them well.

What grew from a little piece of land, a family, a garden, and a desire for a simpler way of doing things has become something I’m incredibly proud to share.

Welcome to Badger Creek.
